What are the Three Tattoo Removal Approaches?

Have you gotten a permanent tattoo that you no longer want? Tattoo removal used to be difficult to achieve, but now there are several options you can choose from to remove unwanted ink. Fame Tattoos offers one of the leading approaches of tattoo removal in Miami called Tattoo Vanish, using a technique that is similar to the tattooing process, but there are also other options available on the market, such as laser tattoo removal, and surgical tattoo removal.

Tattoo Vanish - All Natural, Non-Laser Removal

Tattoo Vanish is an all-natural tattoo removal in Miami approach that does not use lasers, acids, toxins or any other harmful chemicals. The Tattoo Vanish method uses the same techniques and tools that are used when tattoos are originally applied. During the procedure, the technician will apply a local anesthetic to the area, then will start going over your tattoo with a tattoo gun and apply a lido gel to open up the dermis. With the dermis open the ink eraser can solidify any ink in the area and bring it to the surface, the technician will then wipe the area with an ink eraser to wash away the ink. A thick scab will form once the procedure is done, but will fall off after a couple of weeks. Depending on the size of the tattoo you want to remove, the process can take as little as 10 minutes, and you can go home right after. You may need multiple procedures to fully remove a tattoo, but the Tattoo Vanish method will remove tattoos in fewer treatments than other approaches.

Laser Removal

The most common type of laser tattoo removal in Miami today uses what is called a Q-switched laser treatment. The way a Q-switched laser removes a tattoo is by sending specific wavelengths of light into the skin, depending on the color of ink that is being removed. When the ink is hit with these wavelengths of light, they absorb the energy and break down, which allows your body’s immune system to slowly absorb them into your body and remove them. A laser tattoo removal is going to take time though, generally, patients should expect 8-10 treatments, spaced 8-10 weeks apart (depending on the type of ink used, and complexion of the skin.) As well, some people may take longer to see a tattoo removed as it depends on the speed of their immune system. There are side effects to laser removal, such as redness, swelling, blistering, scans, bruising, hyperpigmentation, hypopigmentation, tenderness; all of which are temporary.

Surgical Tattoo Removal

Surgical tattoo removal in Miami is an approach that is more invasive. A dermatologic surgeon will use a scalpel to remove portions of the tattoo, then close the wound with stitches. It is highly effective at removing tattoos, but risks infection, pigment removal, skin discoloration, and scaring that could be permanent. It is not recommended for larger tattoos, as that will increase wound size and potential risks.
